Tavolo, Tavola

$35.00

Kira Crugnale's Tavolo, Tavola explores the table's dual role as both a functional object and an essential site of human connection. The Italian title underscores this distinction: tavolo, the masculine, denotes the table as mere object, while tavola, the feminine, signifies a table activated by ritual and gathering.

Photographed over four years, the series combines a casual, snapshot-like intimacy with intentional composition. While largely impersonal at a glance, the images draw upon the photographer's own familial and cultural experiences to explore the contrast between utility and ritual, presence and emptiness.
